A warm welcome to the Oxley District Vets. Our objective is to promote the game of golf to the community’s older players – Men and Women 55 years and over. However, you must have an active Golf Australia handicap and be a member of an affiliated Golf Club.

Playing Notes
We play at Oxley Golf Club on most Monday mornings from 7.00 am in summer and 7.30 am in winter. We do have away games at Gailes Golf Club and some country clubs. There are Sponsored Days during the playing year, with an 8am Shotgun Start followed by lunch post round. Most of our events are Single Stableford along with occasional team events. Competition Fees for Oxley Golf Club Events
Oxley Golf Club Members: $17.00
Non-Oxley Golf Club Members: $22.00
Non-Veteran Golfer Visitors: $35.00
NOTE: Away game costs are as per negotiation and will be confirmed closer to each event.

Trophies
We have Winner and Runner-up trophies in up to 3 divisions depending on player numbers. All players participate in Nearest the Pins on par 3 holes and a generous ball run down is provided to 25% of the field.
Club Championship
Our Club Championships consists of Best 2 of 3 stroke rounds and is played in the three handicap divisions and our Ladies Division over three successive weeks with generous trophies to be awarded.

Oxley Vets are affiliated with the Queensland Veteran Golfers Union (QVGU) who have over 7000 members across the state. The QVGU runs yearly State Championships and their affiliation with the Australian Veterans Golfers Union allows members to participate in the annual Australian Veterans Championships.
