A warm welcome to the Oxley District Vets. Our objective is to promote the game of golf to the community’s older players – Males 55 years and over and Ladies 50 years and over. But you must have a Golf Australia handicap and be a member of an affiliated Golf Club.

Playing Notes
We play at Oxley Golf Club on most Monday mornings from 7.00 am in summer and 7.30 am in winter. Tuesday games will occur following a Monday Public Holiday if possible to arrange. We do have away games at clubs such as Gailes, Ipswich, Wolston Park and Toowoomba with some Sponsored Days during the playing year, being 8am Shotgun Starts with a nice lunch afterwards. Most events are Single Stableford. Stroke events are also played with a novelty event at the end of year breakup day.

Trophies
We have Winner and Runner-up trophies in 3 divisions depending on player numbers. All players participate in Nearest the Pins on all par 3 holes and a generous ball run down is provided to 25% of the field.
Club Championship
Our Club Championship is played in the three handicap divisions and one Ladies Division over three successive weeks and generous trophies can be won.

Oxley Vets are affiliated with the Queensland Veteran Golfers Union (QVGU) who have over 7000 members across the state. The QVGU runs yearly State Championships and their affiliation with the Australian Veterans Golfers Union allows members to participate in the annual Australian Veterans Championships.
