Brisbane enters 3-day lockdown

Queensland has recorded 10 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 36 hours.

While six are overseas acquired cases, four were the result of community transmission.

This development has triggered a snap three-day lockdown for Greater Brisbane from 5pm on Monday 29 March, 2021.

But what does this mean for Golf?

Golfing, as a sport, falls under the exercise category. Oxley Golf Club course will remain operational during the three day lockdown, with a few minor adjustments for players to adhere to.

The following rules apply:

When arriving at OGC, all players must continue to sign in via the QLD-GOV check in app, for contact tracing purposes.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tee time and check in with the ProShop, which will be located at the front of the clubhouse. (The clubhouse will be closed during the three day lockdown)

Two players per tee time

There will be social rounds only – no competitions.

All previous rules still apply, no touching shared equipment- ie rakes & flags etc, and continue to social distance.

You can book in via the members portal or the website.

This ruling is subject to change, with the directive from the Queensland government.
